There is a certain code of conduct that is universal that in my view is expected in the workplace. Punctuality for example. As easy as that seems. If works starts at eight, you expect all of your employees to be on the job at eight. Not driving in the parking lot at eight o’clock. That’s important if you have a business. Punctuality is critical for radiology techs because we’re often working 12 hour shifts. So when it’s the end of your 12 hour shifts you’re tired, you’re ready to go home. Your patient’s safety may be at danger so if that person coming in to relieve you is not on time it can cause issues within the department. Being punctual for us means that the customer is going to have greater confidence in us. That starts with showing up to work on time and getting deadlines, personal deadlines done when you need them to. We have meetings every week and I need to be prepared for those. I can’t show up to the meeting late. If I let that type of thing go on then that will overflow into the project success.
