– Next we want to talk
about your experience. A lot of people think I’ll just take my resume, copy and paste it and put it into my experience. No, you don’t want to do that. What you want to do is just give them a snippet of information about the success you’ve had at the company you’re presently at or
companies you’ve worked for. The other key important thing to do is to list your name, a
colon, and then your title. Why do you do that? Because it builds your
search engine optimization quality on Google and makes it easier for recruiters to find you. Next, you’ll want to fit up the sections that include projects,
skills, volunteer activities, and other types of experience you want the readers to know. If you have any certifications or awards, you want to list those out. So take the time to think about all the things that you have
accomplished in your career, whether you’re just starting or you’re an experienced professional. Either way you have a lot
to market for yourself and sometimes it’s really hard to do that, but if you take a piece of paper and you write out all your skill sets and you write out all your accomplishments you not only begin to
have a good story to tell the recruiter and then hiring managers in your face to face interviews, but you also have a
LinkedIn profile to build.
