How to Submit Results – Core Workforce Skills

Articles Blog

This video shows you how to record the results
of Core Workforce Skill assessment. To begin, you will need the universal rubric
– get this from the Intranet or from the welcome email sent to you when you signed up. There are three steps. The first is to decide what existing assignment
you will use. Assess all the students in at least one class. Instructors in the past have used papers,
presentations, or any type of project where these skills might be used. The second step is to record the results using
the universal rubric. Using the rubric in Excel, fill in the number
of students assessed, the end product that was evaluated (choose one from the drop down),
and your 8 digit course number. The section number is not needed. Then, look at each of the 8 skills. Record now how many student met the skill,
did not meet the skill, or the skill was not assessed. Refer to the descriptions for further clarification. All skills may not be addressed. For example, in an online course, you might
have “not assessed” for social interaction, listening, and speaking. Use your best judgment based on the given
product you are assessing at this point in time. Remember to provide data for all eight skills. Finally, when it comes time to submit the
results, all you need to do is copy the rubric by highlighting the cells containing the data
and right clicking on “copy”. Then, using your email, paste what you copied
into the email and send. You are finished. Subtitles by the Amara.org community
