My Name is Nikaela Frederick Hannah Monroe Summer Blizzard I went to school for economics I actually have a psychology background I thought I’d be a video game programmer This is something we need to draw attention to I was going down a different path Our generation has Stumbled into it a little luckly That this is something they can do I found myself working a job with older adults It’s really not marketed well I loved it There’s not just one path I can’t imagine ever leaving Any interest that you already have Take what you’re good at Can be applied to the field There are a ton of big problems Because there’s so much need That people young and old are trying to solve To be part of a large scale movement You can actually change someone’s life It’s pretty exciting Man, it’s awesome At the end of the day do you feel passionate about what you’re doing?

  1. Wow, I literally just did a speech on this very topic on Monday in my speech class in college. I have worked with alzheimer's patients for five years, and have started music therapy programs and have tried to connect my peers with this older generation. It's so important to connect these two generations seemingly separated by adulthood!
    One month ago I did an informative speech on Alzheimer's and the brain and how to prevent it, and four days ago I did a persuasive speech on why you should befriend an old person, and how to connect these generational gaps, both millenials and elderly are lakcing in companionship and have sky high rates of mental illness, anxiety, depression. I think this might be one of the singlemost important issues of our time. Thank you for pursuing this
