For the expression "to corner the market" , "to corner" is the verb (yeah, I'm putting attention on grammar), so is it correct to say "Apple corners the market" (with S) or "Apple corner the market"??????   22. Great business English lesson and explanation…My only comment would be on the phrase "To be ahead of the curve", to make it more clear…
    To be ahead of the curve means: "to be ahead of current thinking or trend". (source from Google Dictionary)
    For example: Most people I know make less than $100k per year, I, on the other hand, make more than $200k per year, although I am not quite as rich as Bill Gates, I would say I am AHEAD OF THE CURVE.
