Press the bell icon and never miss an
update from AasaanJobs. It’s been almost a month and you’ve been applying to jobs
day in and day out. Every day you’re relentlessly applying at all the
available jobs across job portals. You have personally emailed to at least 500
recruiters and you still haven’t heard back from any of them. Maybe it’s time to
go back to your resume, go back to your cover letter and see what might be
going wrong. Hey everyone this is Viren from Aasaanjobs and today we’re going to
discuss some very common mistakes people make in their resumes or the cover
letters let’s get started You need to start by reading, reading and
rereading your cover letter, your resume as many times as it takes until you’re
absolutely sure that it has no mistakes whatsoever. Use tools like grammarly. See
if you’ve made any grammatical errors because even if there are a handful of
them, to the recruiter it seems that you are little careless. Send it out to
your friends send it out to your family. Ask them to proofread it as well and
absolutely make sure that it’s crisp simple and most importantly free of
errors. Just the other day I actually came across a resume that read I
do not have to have FOMO tendencies in life. Guys, this is not Twitter. If
you’re going to use such inappropriate words and abbreviations on your CV the
recruiters are gonna be LOLLING at your CV and very soon you will be throwing
back to the days when you actually use to have a job. Now a lot of people try to
make their resumes really fancy ones and that’s not necessarily a bad thing
but if you start overdoing it you will annoy the recruiter. For example you
really don’t have to use cursive fonts or handwritten fonts. You don’t need to
have a parchment type paper. Please do not use fancy clip art or like borders
which have all the branches on them. You really don’t need all of that in your
resume. Try and keep it simple otherwise the recruiter will get really
annoyed. Although you need to make sure that your resume is really not too
fancy or as I would say annoying. But you need to also make sure that your resume
is not too boring either. So please do not end up making a resume a which is
just a plain blank document with bullet points on it, because that will tend to
become a little too boring. There are tons of websites that you can go to
which have resume builders on them. We have one at Aasaanjobs.com itself. You
can go check it out. All you need to do is upload your data and there are some
good templates you can use them and make a good CV. The bottom line here is try
and make something really clean, really professional and not too fancy. It can be
a really stressful phase in anyone’s life to keep applying for jobs and not
hear back from any of the recruiters. Which is why we thought of preparing
this video and I hope you did take back something from this. If you have any
